About The Artwork
Portrait of a girl in white shorts in the late thirties. I was inspired by this photo when working on the lay-out of a book retracing a family history. By removing the background and working with just 4 colors (titanium white, mars black, ultramarine blue and burnt sienna) I created a vintage, yet very modern piece which would look great in a modern house or loft. Makes a great tandem with the boy in sailor suit. Painted with best quality acrylics and protected by 3 layers of anti UV gloss varnish. Pure linen canvas, finished sides and stainless steel wire. ready to hang.
