About The Artwork

A not to "The Torment of Saint Anthony" from the Isenheim Alterpiece, painted by Mathias Grünewald between 1512 and 1516. The Title "GNOS DLOC EHT" is an anagram for "The cold song" as a tribute to Henry Purcell's semi-opera, "King Arthur" (1691), "The Cold Genius reluctantly wakes from his slumbers" or "The Frost Scene" (Act III, scene 2) Note: the diptych work is delivered in 2 parts 130 x 97 x 2.5 cm each.

Artistic approach Most of my work revolves around the representation of the human body, through anamorphoses, metamorphoses, drawing on the Baroque style, the genius of the Renaissance or contemporaneity. One line may conceal another, appear, disappear, make the invisible… visible
