About The Artwork
I am a female artist that has been making empowering paintings that are both inviting and alive with erotic energy allowing the viewer to have a personal experience all their own. My paintings spur frank discussions of gender identity, freedom of sexuality, play, and diversity. The language I use in my paintings are completely my own and are of the freedom that love shares with the universe, and I personally admire such free choice in loving. I think that my paintings are a kind of a transformation into abstraction blending into figurative lines that playa part in having the viewer's eyes dance across the canvas, deciphering the messages of love. In my painting, "Kiss, Kiss, Splendor, and " there are images of playful love, I maintain the ethos, that “love between two individuals has always been and will always be a universal feeling, regardless of place, class, sex, or sociopolitical climate.” My work has themes of intimacy and a glimpse into men loving men, and women loving women. They are both frolicsome and intimate.

I strive to paint from my gut a surge of body parts that are both on the fringes of figural and unknowing. At a gaze one can feel as if peeking into a secret message of a sexual ritual. Within the erotic body parts (dominated by females,) I paint for the mystery of lines, color, shapes to convey a climax of thought. The grotesque prevails despite the sensual nature of my paintings, there is the expressive, unsettling, and visceral confirmation that the subject matter of a given work is typically intended to unsettle the viewer while making it their own visual.
