Original painting: "Golden Frog", Polina Maykova, acrylic on canvas, 20 x 20 cm, framed wooden frame in gold, dimensions with the frame: 26 x 26 cm (10,2362 x 10,2362 Inch), 2020, from the small series of pictures "Thoughts".

The golden frog is an interpretation of the Chinese money frog from Feng Shui.
The money frog is a symbol in China from an illuminating story. The legend is about the frog Chan Chu. He is said to have had an elixir of subdivision for the wife of one of the Eight Immortals and thus fled to the moon. There she drank it and was in a very loving toad administration.
The toad Chan Chu was gold above everything and they seduced themselves with gold coins. One reason toad rejection becomes associated with money is because frogs are near water. Water means better. It is also said that the money frog will belong to a large purse if the angel is lured.
