About The Artwork

This is a recent work inspired by the abstract expressionist Adolph Gottlieb. Shortly before I created this painting I revisited the work of Gottlieb, who always fascinated me. A few days later I got a spark and knew exactly what I wanted to create. It was a cathartic experience. On 40" x 30" x 1.5" stretched canvas. The edges are are staple-free so you can hang it as is or frame it. The canvas is finished with multiple coats of Liquitex gloss varnish to protect it from discoloration and wear. Signed.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I have been creating artwork and photographs for over 50 years. My painting was influenced at a very early age by the abstract expressionist movement of the early-mid twentieth century. Photographically my inspiration came from the likes of Minor White, Edward Weston, Garry Winograd and Jerry Uelsmann. I've lived in numerous locations in the USA and overseas but now make my home in St Augustine, Florida. I paint in oil and acrylics on canvas, favoring large panels. For my photographic works I use both traditional analog and digital equipment.
