The contemporary reinterpretation of the classics of sculpture has long stimulated my research. The first subject was the Venere di Milo, followed by Michelangelo's David, now Paolina Borghese by Antonio Canova. In this painting, however, the sculpture is not represented in the museum where it is exhibited, but in a jungle inspired by "The dream" by Henri Rousseau, a work that made me literally tremble at the MoMA. Philosophical reflections: My interest in Nature is born as an answer to the virtualization of today's life. I believe that, rediscovering the natural intimate relationship with it, man can try to free himself from the consumerist and populist bombardment that poisons today's society. Obviously I do not speak of a utopian radical return to the man of the caves, I think that common sense can calibrate a fair balance and that, given the problems of increasingly urgent resolution that afflict the planet, such as climate change, it is important to come back conscious of the importance of its defense and its respect.
