"Grimsby" (Elton John, Bernie Taupin) As I lay dreaming in my bed Across the great divide I thought I heard the trawler boats Returning on the tide And in this vision of my home The shingle beach did ring I saw the lights along the pier That made my senses sing Oh oh Grimsby, a thousand delights Couldn't match the sweet sights Of my Grimsby Oh England you're fair But there's none to compare with my Grimsby Through nights of mad youth I have loved every sluice in your harbor And in your wild sands from boyhood to man Strangers have found themselves fathers Take me back you rustic town I miss your magic charm Just to smell your candy floss Or drink in the Skinners Arms No Cordon Bleu can match the beauty Of your pies and peas I want to ride your fairground Take air along the quay

Helen studied art (BA Hons) at University of Sheffield during the 1980’s, followed by a degree in Psychology (BSc Hons). Helen has studied and researched how colour can affect our moods, well-being, behaviours, recall and perceptions. Helen paints primarily in oils on canvas. “my paintings are always focussed on colour and how the colour or colour combinations affect my mood. I want my mood to be stimulated by the colour more than anything..” My life, it was bleak before, But now there are colours galore. You’ve brightened up my world – New colours you’ve unfurled. New colours came to play And brightened up my day. By bright colours, I am wooed: They brighten up my mood. Blacks and greys and whites, Can make a striking sight, But they’re colours of the night – For me, they are too polite. You’ve turned my world around: New colours I have found. Bright colours, I can see, And all those in-between. You’ve shown me different shades – Added colour to my days. My old life, I so hated, But, a new world, you’ve created. I know that without you, I’d have a different view. To my life, you’ve added spice, And it’s really rather nice. You’ve shown me brand new paths; You’ve made me smile and laugh. I’m no longer feeling blue, And it is all because of you. by, Angela Wybrow
