Hadda 'at Painting

Imagine a time where mankind is seeking knowledge, running to and fro over the earth, ever searching, but not quite understanding. The book of Daniel (Daniel 12:4) and Paul's letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 3:7) encompasses this. Ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of truth. At the same time the knowledge of God decreases. It is a glimpse of a prophecy, perhaps of the present day? It is a more somber, darker piece, yes. But one meant to make people stop and think. I put the work together around a stencil I purchased. I wanted to convey the idea of a grid and busyness and a constant search for knowledge as often we hear tech types talk about the newest piece of software. One of my favorite mediums are inks, alcohol inks and India inks. Here I used alcohol inks along with handmade texture paste and a stencil called Short Circuit by Americana. I just love texture! Good texture comes forth even in prints and I love that!! I also used some acrylic paints as well. I like to give my artworks Hebrew names a lot of times. Hadda 'at means knowledge.
