Happy Colors, Fruits and Earth Painting

This art work is inspired by the vivid, vibrant colors and clean renewable energy on planet earth. The focal emphasis seen in the center of painting is a juicy freshly cut tropical fruit evoking a relaxed holiday atmosphere and sweet-smelling fragrances. Across the lower part of the painting are a series of open and closed triangles featuring exotic African inspired textile designs. The graphic nature of the triangles provide unique stability and character for the painting. The painting was done using 3 layers of acrylic paint and candle wax. This was painstakingly tedious method but the results after 3 weeks was worth the effort. I chose this technique because I have been experimenting with wax and acrylics for over a year and want to be among the best in the world in this particular style.
