This was inspired by the beauty of the flowers, nature, the thought of renewal, and a personal story. The year before I painted this; my father in law died unexpectedly. The tree the one depicted in the painting had no flowers that year. It was his tree, his house, and as odd as it sounds it was as if the tree somehow knew he died; it was just around Easter the time the tree should have been in bloom and it didn't. It was as if even the nature around him was mourning his passing. He was a beloved person by everyone who knew him. The whole town showed up at his funeral. I personally miss him so much, for he was one of the few people in my life whom excepted me unconditionally; he always accepted the fact I am an artist and never made me feel strange about it. (His son is much like his father.) This year as I sit here living in his house and enjoying his tree; things feel a bit better. Yes the tree bloomed this year and it was a beautiful thing to see. I realize you probably think I am using metaphors but I tell you I am not the tree really did seem happy this year. I hope who ever comes to own this painting will see it in a happy light. The tree is beautiful and I hope I captured just a bit of it's beauty.

Dear collectors, I am just a simple person living a simple life. Having lived in some beautiful places; nature is important to me. I currently resided in small little country home. A love for painting is my one true constant. One of the true joys in my life has been the time spent exploring my little world as an artist. I am almost forty-two now and continue to paint; having practiced for almost thirty years now. I am both self taught and trained as I have a bachelor's degree from a Framingham State College. I have always worked multiple jobs while still somehow creating and selling on almost a daily basis. I am so happy to say that many people all across the United States enjoy my artwork on their walls. For me my paintings are more then a pretty picture. No matter if I am doing a portrait or a landscape there is meaning and feeling behind each one. I explore character and the uniqueness of the subject at hand. I love the outdoors and have a deep respect for the natural world. As my family owns an old farm with woods and many wild animals make their home their.
