Hawaiian Shores Painting

I was visiting Kauai in Hawaii. I surf so I was hoping to find some boards for hire. I didn't have my own because I was working on Cruise Ships and transportation of a 9ft plus longboard would be too difficult. Because I was a photographer on board I was always looking for the perfect shot, also materials and subjects for paintings. I had been amused watching one of my mates shooting a girl at the water's edge, I later found out he was gutted because he'd forgotten to load a film in the camera. It was the kind of warm you only find in the tropics. Then this girl walked by with this longboard under her arm. It was perfect, and I painted this from a photo I took.
