About The Artwork
Heather Tree is one of the many pieces in a suite I call "petal prints" as I created these with one of my favorite paintbrushes to make the distinct petal brush strokes. These "petals" are almost as distinct as a fingerprint because only I use this paintbrush and with repeated use the bristles splay in a way that only my paintbrush would. If one examines these pieces carefully, one can find the distinct prints on each painting the paintbrush was used on. These pieces are in keeping with my love of color to create heavy, thick, creamy and luscious fresh "petals". Lots of texture and color - I love almost as much as my metal and glass pieces.
