Hello My Name is Tommy Painting

"Hello, my name is Tommy! Static illusion-type incarnation - but you can call me a cat." When Tommy was ready to leave this incarnation he told me he would like to do one last fun project together. So we wrote a song, made a video and painted six paintings! This is the first of the six paintings. You can watch our video at https://boly.ro This series of six paintings follow the progression of Tommy's life on this planet. He was a great friend and his spirit lives on in these pieces. In honor of Tommy’s playful personality, the cotton canvas was dyed with indigo stretched over wood stretchers dyed yellow and fixed with painted nails, revealing both the color of the dyed wood and textile. The canvases were primed with rabbit-skin (which dries clear) in order to reveal both the fibers of the cotton as well as the oil pigments.
