About The Artwork
Julia creates contrasts by combining her main working areas – contradictions and strong feelings – on cool concrete. Graphically reduced, fragmented forms and typographies are sprayed on custom-made concrete plates. Hidden is the title of her collection. With provocative glances, the faces urge their viewers: "Hey, look at me!" The characters want to be noticed. At the same time they seem to hide behind a facade. The works reveal, upon closer inspection, a message: Your greatest happiness is often hidden behind your deepest fear.
