About The Artwork

Hope waits. She stands with an uplifted face in wonder, awe and eager anticipation of the treasures yet to come. She reminds us of our childhood dreams, the seemingly little things that made our hearts sing and the innocence of possibilities. Hope is the first breath, necessary for life. It is hope that gives us purpose and makes our actions meaningful. It is because of hope that we move forward, strive to grow, renew our determination to make the world better place for our children and exert the effort of raising children to become caring and responsible future leaders. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18 The Divine Virtues: With this series, I played with the concept of biblical terms having been formerly frequently used as girls’ names. I searched for girls that would physically express their names, literally jumping with joy when each girl was found. I did not know at the time, but these three names are indeed The Divine Virtues. I found the fitting Bible verse translation in the little silver edged King James Bible my parents gave me: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Cor 13:3
