I am inspired by what being present in each moment can bring in an ever fractured, divisive, distracted world. This painting uses raw canvas and water based ink in the process of the making, leaving the ink and water to settle and dry in its own time, move across the canvas in the place of least resistance as water does. I hope that the viewer can connect with the sense of ease and stillness implicit in the movement on the canvas and disconnect from the resistance of modern day living.
