Growing up in the shadow of NYC, on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River, at the foot of the George Washington Bridge, I had plenty of access to arts and culture. My favorites were the museums, MoMA and the Guggenheim in particular. I earned a B.S. in art Ed. K-12. I found my own forte as educator to be wise to build self esteem in students through positive praise, both in the classroom and the art room. Encouraging creativity has value for society itself. As retiree, I delight myself in the pleasures of experimenting in the ways which I would suggest to my art students, therefore, I am self taught and still growing in skills and excitement. My favorites are collage and large scale acrylic compositions. I authored articles concerning art's impact on our environment due to student coursework being oil paints. Therefore I use acrylics. The vagaries of life have tossed me many incomprehensible tragedies. I cope through my art. I find peace as I immerse myself in color. I neither judge, nor, project politically through art, preferring to pursue happiness as our forefathers provide in our USA pledge of allegiance. I espouse and hopefully evoke, happiness, joy, peace, and contentment in my own artworks.
