About The Artwork
Art for peace. Long autumn evenings when it is sunny outside but there are restrictions on leaving the house. Curfews. I sit at the table and sort through the leftover paints and cardboard and think: where can I get inspiration? This restriction is not the most difficult thing for an artist. It's harder to find the strength to create and search for reflection from emptiness. Thoughts wander in memories. Fragment by fragment, pictures from the past and my family appear in the void. I remember stories about the icon painter's great-grandfather. And this is really the idea. It fills my imagination. I have overcome the limitations again, I can create something personal at this time. This painting is about hope and overcoming difficult conditions. It's a small victory over limitations. The painting was exhibited at a solo exhibition in the summer of 2022, the city of Dnipro, Ukraine. Refers to the series of paintings "Where all roads meet". At the same time, I looked at the historical artistic experience and was inspired by the Fayoum portraits. I reflected on my own life, experience, and the possibilities of creating personal reflections at this time.

Oleksandra Malyshko is a talented Ukrainian artist known for her original oil paintings on canvas. Was born in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine In 1977. She’s an architect by profession and a member of the International Association of Art (IAA) Europe and a member of the National union artists of Ukraine. She is an active member of the regional art community. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is in private and public collections. She specializes in a style called linear impressionism, which combines elements of both linear and impressionistic techniques. This style emphasizes bold, expressive brushwork and uses strong lines to create a sense of movement and energy within the artwork. In her paintings, you can expect to see a harmonious blend of precise lines and vibrant, loose brushstrokes.
