About The Artwork

To make this artwork I used such a unique medium as a wasp nest. I personally collect abandonded nests at my eco village. The main theme of the "Ideal Architects" series is an interaction of nature and man. The rate of the biosphere destruction due to anthropogenic factors raises the question of the need to change our attitude to our common home. Dasha turns to the concept of the noosphere of the great Soviet scientist Vladimir Vernadsky. Noosphere is a symbiosis of moral (spiritual) and scientific civilization development. According to the artist, the ideas of Vernadsky can become a source of inspiration for solving problems related to the development of our society and the use of our Earth’s resources. The artworks refer to the theme of negative human impact on the environment, the importance of each biocenosis element. The artist shows the beauty of the Earth's creations and reflects on the future of our planet in the event of their death. Dasha sees the possibility of overcoming environmental problems in the study of natural laws, the use of all the wealth existing in nature for civilization development. Her works resemble fictional worlds where life can be very different from the usual norm. The artist's panels are made using natural materials: wasp nests, spider webs and tree bark. "Through my creativity I want to show the world beauty where small creatures reside, from the point of view of the ideas existing in it. In nature there are many ready-made solutions that are safe, simple and environmentally friendly. I believe Vladimir Vernadsky saw this potential. These fictional worlds are a way to expand the views on reality and how it can be. " The project offer the audience a reflection about the Earth with scenarios possible future outcomes. Media: wood panels (50*50*1 cm), wasp nests, mixed media.

My dreams for the most part inspire my projects. Spiritual practice, love and gratitude enhance my views and influence new works. Diversity of life is portrayed in various forms which I truly admire.
