About The Artwork
Painted in the fall of 2017 while reading Bruno Latour's lectures on Gaia. The main idea is that we need to stop thinking of earth as a globe which objectifies it and separates us from it. Instead we need to think of Gaia as a thin surface in which we are immersed, a new way of thinking that looks beyond the globalized view of the world. In this regards, painting seems to have something to teach us again.
