Teresa poole is a decorative artist from the uk. She specialises in oriental and Japanese art having been a furniture restorer and painter in the 1980s. She uses these traditional and more modern techniques to produce stunning gilded panels on canvas and on wall murals . She uses rabbit skin gesso, 23carat gold leaf , mother of pearl and Dutch gold and silver leaf. She still paints murals but often on canvas. Her work also uses her photography and mixed media pieces using her own hand applied techniques often with metal leaf to produce stunning landscapes . A hybrid of contemporary and traditional but always an orientalist in composition, image and heart.
