Alexandra Avros is a Vienna-based contemporary artist whose work explores recurring patterns that persist across time, memory, and human experience. Working primarily with large-scale mixed media paintings, she investigates relationships between forms rather than individual objects. Vessels, spirals, traces, and repeated structures appear throughout her work as manifestations of deeper rhythms — patterns that continue to emerge across cultures, histories, and lives. Her current body of work, ARCHAIC, examines what remains when noise, fashion, and distraction fall away. The series is not an exploration of the past, but of continuity: the structures, gestures, and forms that survive change and carry memory forward. Rather than illustrating narratives, Avros creates visual fields where repetition, variation, distance, and rhythm become active elements. Her paintings invite viewers to slow down and observe the hidden relationships between things — the subtle architectures that shape perception, memory, and belonging. Living and working in Vienna, Alexandra Avros approaches painting as a form of research. Each work is part of an ongoing investigation into the patterns that connect material, time, and human presence.
