About The Artwork
What inspired the work? -While experimenting with different ideas in the language of visual art, I came up with this test of combining three separate art styles into one original work, what I call Integralism. So I decided to use a pinwheel, a pencil and a brush for this experiment. What do I hope its viewers will feel/think? - A visual feast of color, forms and texture, persuading the eye to wonder across the painting to where it likes it most, and where it lands, there lies the reflection of one's emotion. Why did I choose the medium, subject matter, style? - I picked the styles of impressionism, pointillism and expressionism brushstrokes, to experiment with modern art's first movements, mix them in one painting in order to create something new. Through this Integralism style you free yourself of styles by integrating styles.
