About The Artwork
I'm wanting to convey my views on the connections between people. "Interlocking" displays the layers of differences we all have, our unique shapes and colors. Yet we are all built as humans. We are joined by nature as finite beings. We are born, we live, and we die. The possibilities between beginning and ending are what makes us remembered and celebrated. I used a bright orange red in the lower center to symbolize and celebrate our life force that we all share. The painting is signed on the back and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is twice coated with UV Archival Varnish to protect the painting and comes with felt pads on the back to protect the wall. The artwork is on Gallery Wrapped Canvas and all four sides are painted and ready to hang.

I am an abstract painter expressing my work by exploring the relationship between nature and our environment. Using dialogue between the two can be my best source of inspiration. The tactility of multiple textures and building of layers, are the backbones of my pieces. The severity of the elements can age and weather and create the most interesting designs. The distressed look of patina on metal and dilapidating walls intrigues me by their abstract surfaces and patterns. These textures and layers give depth and dimension to my paintings and are common elements in all my series. I currently live and work in the Berkshires on Western Massachusetts.
