About The Artwork
Inspired by the painting of Jheronimus Bosch (The deadly sins) I made a series of the 7 individuel sins and positioned the deadly sin and its corresponding virtue in the same painting. This painting shows the sin: Ira (Wrath) and its opposite Patientia (Patience of Foregiveness). Wrath is symbolized by the terorist attack on Theater Bataclan in Paris. Mercy is symbolized by Gandhi. The viewer of the painting has the choice on what side of the dividing line are you: What is the answer to wrath: more wrath or foegiveness?
