About The Artwork
This painting was done over a heavy textured gesso-primed surface. Ridges are apparent on the bottom half, where paint was brushed across the surface. An obvious black line cuts the image in half. The upper half contains vertical brushstrokes that could be interpreted as buildings or a skyline. Is that your penthouse, the title of this work, hints at what is possible.
