THE WORK IS MADE WITH WITH MATERIALS OF THE BEST QUALITY,VERY DURABLE acrylic / vinylic colors on canvas Piece UNICUM Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7pPRIDBq_w Catalog online: https://www.sfogliami.it/fl/261180/y1spkn68j9t2cyuvv2q3n1gzxq9k?fbclid=IwAR29sf-0GF4I1VjuqqXQMxiHlewrT7Pmh88uNj2AlfUaKyh7D9uYgAW9chE#page/1 Inspired by Roman Latin scripts and immane, my composition are reflections on the concept of time as a subjective and cultural memory, connecting the archaeological material to our contemporaneity. The icon of the ITINERARIA represents the means by which historical information reaches our present day. The composition is open, like a fragment (detail). "CROSSINGS" is the protagonist icon, a metaphor for both geographical and temporal crossing, like an itinerary. The words written in the ancient latin Roman font overlaps with figurative icons of human bodies, trees, groups of feet with romans sandals, becomes an image. The connection between the ancient and the contemporary gives a leading role to Time. Starting from screen printing, I developed a special painting technique that I have been using for many years to create unique works of art (not to produce multiples). I "painted" in "layers my preparatory drawings, applying screen printing by hand to create sharp images whose impact strong and clean chromaticity supports the materiality of acrylic / vinyl colors and at the same time renders the details with great precision. The beauty of this technique also lies in the trace left by the layer of ink that passes through the net of the screen, and in the vibrant intensity of the colors. The painting was exposed in 3 Pesonal exhibitions: Columna mutãtio - LA SPIRALE at Museum Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali in Rome, from 11/29/ 2017 to 11/18 /2018.
