About The Artwork
The human body, in various positions and forms, is simply beautiful. The shape, the skin, the way it all feels... I wanted to engage the senses with this painting on a deeper level than just the sight. I worked in layers on this, so it builds well in the way that the nipple is slightly rising compared to the arm for example. Seeing it "in the flesh" makes viewers want to touch -as I was told many times. The colors blend well together, complimenting, making it the perfect ensemble for an elegant yet sexy mix. The body itself tells a story, in its movements and in its freedom. The fact that no clothes obstruct movements completes the idea of freedom; the background works well on that with the idea of infinity and stars. I loved working on this piece, even though it has been very challenging at times (about 60 hours on this piece). I have gone back and forth repeatedly, feeling that it was not finished, until now. Signature at the back of the canvas.

My name is Lolita and I am a Contemporary Painter. I get my inspiration from things I see and hear and read. I have a very wide imagination and my subjects aren't always real. When I walk through the streets of London, I see invisible bridges that wizards cross, children running after pixies and men and women chatting to animals beside them. I paint many subjects and work in different styles. To add to my -sometimes wild - imagination, I am also a strong believer of Achievement and Empowerment. Heroes may be flawed, but as I read somewhere before "perfect is boring" (I can't quite remember who said it, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for that). So, you may notice in my work that I create achievement through an idea or a story, a sense of Self-Belief and Greatness.
