About The Artwork
Exploring the relationship between Nature and human beings and the hazards created by human beings. Viewers will find a disguised, discarded milk bottle which is part of everyday life and transport them into another world this could be environmental issues, preservation of nature or better way of discarding plastic. In brief some kind of pondering of nature. In general I am responding to social issues through my art and pollution is one of them. Last two years I have been working on the plastic pollution created by human being. In this work, I have glued a plastic milk bottle. Holes in the work are implying violation of space, moat or barrier which is dark and uncanny and it creates division in between human being and between human being and nature.

Jose's works are driven by the observation of the human condition, and the social issues occurring around him. His aim is to raise questions to engage with the audience. Currently, he is picking up stories from newspapers relevant to his social concerns. He combines selected clippings and words with appropriate ordinary objects to create a disquieting mood on a two-dimensional surface. Through the process of blending different objects, he conceals certain parts of the work while revealing others to the viewers. The activity of concealing and revealing is an attempt to make a form or space which has an immediate impact, and which addresses disregarded and affected people. Thus the work arouses an enigmatic atmosphere which reflects disgust at the actions of a human being.
