Some people in our life guide us and steer us in unimaginable ways, like kites in the sky. We hold on to them, but the truth is: only our independence and strength within us can lift us further. On a more personal note, I was listening to a song titled Kites by Anik Khan while I was painting.

I am an introspective artist exploring my identity and change. I believe that the past does not define us, but change persistently does. By delving deep within, I zap a simple thought or feeling by thoroughly dissecting it, triggering my madness yet feeding my creativity and playfulness. Like volcanoes, I am stirred by the accumulation that transpires inside of me to finally express myself in the form of an artwork. Considering that indecisiveness and passion are my only constant traits, I perceive art as a channel that nurtures my personality without restricting me in my practice. I strive to portray my raw and authentic self in different moments in time by conceptualizing and portraying the unseen and volatile aspects of my personality, thoughts and feelings. I constantly push my personal boundaries and margins of creativity by exploring contemporary painting, drawing and digital art. A huge part of my creative practice concentrates on the intellectual thought process rather than the outcome. I find inspiration in primary and secondary experiences that evoke my mind and heart and inevitably prompt some form of change inside me. I identify key themes through introspection especially when I am processing an overwhelming state of influx of thoughts and emotions. I then conceptualize and define my ideas through brainstorming, writing and sketching. The doing part of my work is more playful and intuitive. As opposed to my propensity to overanalyze, my appreciation for diverse ideologies like Wabi-Sabi, Sufism and Art Brute embrace my abstract ideas and encourage me to under-work my pieces to achieve an unfinished aesthetic. I use mixed media including acrylic paint, fine pens, water colours, oil crayons, pastels and charcoal. My pieces have personal meanings to me yet their ambiguous and raw appearance allows room for the viewer to interpret the work in their own way.
