She wears a red dress to emphasize that she is interested in sex. This is a significant to the world because she represents the popular young generation of smokers. Beside her is the world and to the left is an Eagle Man ( the artist went to North Carolina Central in Durham North Carolina). Beside the Eagle Man is an African American woman drinking a martini, this is the woman that comes to the artist and saves his life, in the painting she's making a statement that it's safe to drink than to smoke. in the lower left corner is a cartoon character this character is modeled after the statue of James E. Shepard, he's the founder of North Carolina Central University ( An African American that wanted higher education for blacks.) There is a star beside his head as if to say that men like him are the true stars. the painting is very busy with movement. There are individual pictures and statements within the painting some of which include a care honking it's horn at a skyscraper with a "X" on top as if to say be aware of snipers, and you should not jump if your thinking of suicide. There is a telescope looking at a eye, there is also a eye with the number 8 and a tear to represent a new beginning after grief. there is also a rocket ship in the top right hand corner with an equation of 1+1=1. This is a statement the artist is making about one man and one woman marrying and becoming one. The background is abstract with mountains and the picture is bright and full of life.
