The Caspicara girl is a work inspired by the old sculptures of Quiteño Art from the 17th century, when there were many sculptors and painters who specialized in religious art. A time when the Catholic Church abused indigenous girls by inducing them into prostitution. Caspicara was one of the most famous indigenous sculptors, slaves of the colonizing system. It is a work of free interpretation, observers can discover little by little. Batik on natural silk using pigments and silk dyes.
