About The Artwork

The painting "Labyrinth of Thoughts" is a Self-Portrait that allows me to explore the depths of my being through a mix of vibrant colors and artistic styles. In this work, I sought to portray the complexity of my thoughts, daydreams and emotions, reflecting on illusion, anguish, inner peace and the meaning of life. The inspiration for this work comes from the whirlwind of thoughts that permeate my mind daily. I wanted to capture the feeling of being lost in a maze of ideas and reflections, trying to find a path and meaning to everything. I hope viewers of the painting feel involved in their own inner journey. I want them to be led to reflect on their own thoughts and emotions, and to question the meaning of life and the purpose of their own existence. The choice of artistic medium, subject and style reflects my quest to express the intensity of my thoughts and feelings. The vibrant colors represent the energy and vivacity of these thoughts, while the mix of styles allows me to explore different ways of representing my internal experience. Overall, the painting "Labyrinth of Thoughts" is an expression of my personal journey in search of clarity, inner peace and meaning. I invite everyone to get lost in this labyrinth with me, exploring the deepest corners of their own thoughts and emotions.

Self-taught Visual Artist Ever since I was little, I liked to doodle on paper, sketch, drawings, but I did it more as a hobby, but I learned to love art with my older brother, Carlos Lopes, who is a geometry and visual arts teacher, watching him paint I started to paint some abstract paintings and then I started to I researched more about the world of art and he showed me the avant-garde artists who became my references and favorite artists. In 2018, he invited me to do an exhibition with him, and I already had a number of paintings already painted, and it was my first collective exhibition. I am passionate about exploring new forms of artistic creation, and I work primarily in the contemporary and abstract art styles. My artistic references include some of the great masters of the art world, such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jackson Pollock, and Pablo Picasso. I find inspiration in the simple things of my daily life, as well as in my travels and my imagination. I am always looking for new ways to express my creativity and to achieve different forms. I hope to inspire others to think differently and to see the beauty in the world around them.
