I painted this piece, inspired by my sisters girl trip to the Tampa, Florida coastline. In this painting the woman is alone looking across the waves and body of ocean water. The feel is contemplative, surreal, emotional. The colors of soft brown and teal, turquoise, attract the viewer. The colors give the painting a feel of a foggy day, but the beauty is always there. Beach lovers find this painting inviting. This is one of my most popular paintings. I painted it using wax and inks on a synthetic paper. The movement that the inks add, give the water movement and the sky, clouds excitement. The original remains available. in the mounting process as I attached the 16x20 painting to panel board, small bubbles appeared; This is somewhat common in larger paintings on synthetic paper. Please let me know if you have interest in this piece. This painting has been scanned in high definition, allowing beautiful large prints. Acrylic and metal prints are available at https://patty-donoghue.pixels.com/featured/lady-on-waters-edge-patty-donoghue.html

PATTY DONOGHUE ART My art tends to be bright, happy, colorful, impressionistic, abstract or semi-abstract paintings. I study a theme and have the most comfort using a loose free style in my art. As a child, I dreamed of being an artist and as a teenager my art became a therapeutic outlet that allowed my continued optimistic focus and success, during extreme trying times, relocation and family separations. To me, painting, and creating has a therapeutic value. This strong belief, led to a successful career as an Occupational Therapist and healthcare administrator. Today my full focus is on what has always been in my soul, and I lead a full time art business career. I teach painting as a stress, therapeutic, tool. My art has been shown in multiple juried shows, and it has purchased internationally, It has promoted non-profit organizations and fundraising effort.
