1st WORK OF THE SERIAL "LAYERED" . OIL ON CANVAS. READY TO BE STRECHED. THE "IDEA" OF MY WORKS: We live in plentitudes anymore. Maybe it has been so, life was complicated and multicomponent, existence has never been simple. Reaching and living simplicity and plainness requires an effort that goes through the refinement of the idea. Is it possible to find the “plain” without a distant view? Projection of plentitudes, what we mostly try to do, without realizing it: Looking from a distance and trying to join the pieces that remain in our mind. Endeavoring to find our own piece in plenitudes, to associate this piece with our lives, our own ryhthyms. Seeking for the projections or making them, no matter how the settlements in which we live, the cities in their realities are complicated/ multicomponent/ rich/ dense/ tiring/ exciting. Although the virtual reality and its outputs cause excitement, and is taken as a miraculous tool for shaping the space, the methods of productions and presentations lead us to obtain projections: The maps, charts, diagrams, plans, sections, elevations, silhouettes.. The idea proceeds by distilling, abstracting itself. However, making the projection is not sufficient, it needs to bring them into existence around a pattern. We try to reunify what we simplified, fragmented. The base of my work is based on the desire of grasping the fragmentation in the pursuit of the “plain” and reproducing itself through the layers thereafter. What I obtain – the results are the articulated expressions of a creative process fed by urban textures and architectural multitudes, shuttled between composition-decomposition.
