The first in a series of 5 large paintings (acrylic, pigment, and pencil) on paper, mounted on wood. Five large works that develop a single theme. Landscapes identified by a sentimental - mental subject, and at the same time an object and physical presence. An investigation of the solemn and visceral depth of human and earth. Extremely durable material of rock and clay, profound fissures and holes - natural elements - guide the exploded inspiration in this territory that dances between place [space] and imagination. The beginning is chaotic, like a game, energetic proliferation swaying. Pigments and carbon dust, mixed with water, explore the surface -opening infinite possibilities. The partial absence of control preserves the freshness of thought, as the splashes of water and color have made so unpredictable. The resulting random spaces created from the movements of water permit an encounter with unexpected compositions, such as when one enters a cave containing unusual formations. This beginning determines the identity of each landscape and also it’s fate, constricting the successive passages of the initial formation, and allowing me to relive the birth of the rock through a pictorial experience. Passing from chaos to order, the static colors flank each other in synthetic geometric form - in harmony only in the overall composition, even if unexpected for typical logic
