About The Artwork
As part of my process of looking at how to represent the human form in different ways. Influenced by Gerhardt Richter's treatment of figures. The resulting images are deliberately vague asking the viewer to look closer and ponder who or what is shown. Much like a life class, the focus is on the tones, lines, textures, contours of the model and not the model themselves.

Now developing abstraction, under the influences of the St Ives Artists, in both figurative and landscape.
