About The Artwork
An orchid is already a complex organism among other flowers, its symbiotic lifestyle is one indication of that, next to the level of detail found in its decorations. This particular orchid was in the process of dying, or just very unhealthy, yellow had crept into the dryer sections of the petals, next to the deep purple colour of the orchid it made for a very aesthetic combination of colours. I found it fascinating that the loss of life created another kind of beauty.
