Shirley Painting

Expressive piece inspired by the sky and its constantly changing cloud formations. Painted as a study piece to test colours and brush techniques out. Colour note: The additional images show the colours of this piece fairly accurately on my monitor. The central pink colour is a warm magenta similar to RAL 4010 (Telemagenta), the plummy section below this is a deep colour similar to RAL 4004 (Bordeauxviolett). Painted on a canvas-wrapped board (with gallery corners). Edges are neatly painted and the piece is strung with picture wire, ready to hang. Clearly signed and dated on the back. *I currently use the RAL K7 Classic colour chart to assist with the descirption of the colours in my paintings as computer monitors vary so much. I like the RAL system as I've always come across it in commercial paint shops.
