About The Artwork
C & J Auto Repair Shop, in Tooele, Utah, is closed and no longer in business. It was a small company on a modest street. I suppose it did not have a strong chance of success. The partnership eventually failed, like Susie’s Hide-A-Way Casino (see my picture, Wendover Panorama). The weathering of their sign attracted me, and I feel C & J’s noble, handmade effort needs preservation. My painting has an unpretentious, black edge frame. I use a high quality Canon EOS Rebel T5 to photograph my paintings. However, my website photo reproduction suffers a mild parabolic distortion that is not possible to repair. The actual lines defining the curb, sidewalk and top of the build in my painting are perfectly straight.
