About The Artwork
The first came I came to Beijing when I was a kid, I was deeply moved when seeing the vicissitudes of the old alley, looking at the pigeon wheel and hover in the clear blue sky with melodious whistle. And the memory was so clear in my mind, just like yesterday. Now, it is hard to see scenes of childhood, no feelings of old Beijing in brand new hutongs, with additional health problems and Incomplete rubble. When cross the hutongs, and record with my camera, there is indescribable sadness in my heart. So,I make several portraits of old Beijing, to keep memory of my beautiful childhood, forever. This painting use knife carving on oil material. Black simple style wooden frame will be provided for free to protect the artwork during delivery. More info of this artwork : This is the 6th piece I made, all the other 5 pics failed and not completed because the surface of oil dry out, not be able to carve. This one finally finished in 72 hours without sleep.
