About The Artwork
Lion's Head is one of a series of surreal portraits that reference the surrealist movement as well many of my old master influences. I want the viewer to bring their own meaning to the work. My technique is a highly realistic, detailed oil painting on gessoed cradled panel. This technique allows me create a visually proactive image.
