I painted it by the photograph that was taken by Oscar Gustav Rejland , " Homeless child " as original title.

He is British , born in Sweden.

Rejland was one of the most ambitious and challenging photographer of the 19th. century.
At his early age, Rejland once studied painting in Rome and worked for living by doing portrait , copying old masters and lithography.

So we could trace classic aura in his art photographs.

This little boy made me very sad and almost wanted to hug him by my arms .

How nice one artwork could make our heart move strongly.
I got deep impression from this boy so painted it by myself following my heart.
And I wanted to tell him , you are not alone, boy.

I preferred to use oil for it because it was easier to mix color to express my feeling and thought about this subject.

Ever since I discovered the great impressionists like Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Gauguin as a child , I wanted to be a artist. Since then, I have realized that painting truly is the thing that makes me happiest and has kept my passion for life going. My life has taken me through many roles such as working in sales, intenaional import/export, being an art director for a local gallery , and getting multiful successful food business off the ground and sold . While I am now proprietor of a small cafe , my heart has remained belonging to art. While I have not had a chance to phisically exhibit my pieces in Korea yet, some of my artwork is featured online on th website for the Econrock Gallery in Seoul. www.ecorockgallery.co.kr https://ecorockgallery.com/author/view.htm?idx=3754&page=1
