About The Artwork
Part of the Womb With A View Series. "Lullaby" is the evening version to it's sibling painting "Daydream". This collection was created during the last few months of my pregnancy between February and March 2021, as a reflection of the experience. Created on the tail-end of 2020, this painting has a subtle collage element to it with newspaper scraps from the events from the year. Womb With A View was intended to reflect what baby sees from within the womb and highlights certain special moments I experienced as a mother throughout pregnancy as well.

Leigh co-runs a design studio Rylei Art Dept. and is the Co-Founder of The Art Cave, an art collective and gallery, on the Westside of Santa Cruz, and has shown her artwork around the Bay Area. Leigh is originally from the little state of Vermont, has lived in a handful of places across the US and is now currently residing in Colorado. She is the mother of a 2 year daughter, wife, and caretaker of 2 Australian shepherd mixes and a cat who somehow puts up with all of them.
