About The Artwork
Oil painting on a found wooden panel. I have to thank those makers of music who's performances I have experienced, especially those from the 70s and 80s first passionate wave of punk and post punk period. The Cramps hit all my buttons at once and their live performances were the stuff of legend. I saw them play many times. Now Lux Interior is no longer alive I want to celebrate his life. On stage Lux was a passionate mix of animal and human, an inspiration. This work has been 'framed' with a two and a half cm frame so the total depth is about 4cm and is fitted with hanging brass eyes for hanging via a wire at a single point or as I prefer with 2 level nails into the wall which locate along the top rail of the frame.

Tim makes work about the division, opposition and collusion between animals and humans. Drawing, performance, assemblage, film, collage, oil painting and the re-use of materials and objects is central to his work. Tim won the Ovalhouse prize at Chelsea College of Art, and Gloucester University prize at the Open West in 2015. He is a member of the committee of the Newlyn Society of Artists. Has exhibited in Berlin and Baku Zdonov in the Czech Republic and is represented by Daisy Laing, Penzance, Avalon in Marazion and Jupiter Newlyn.
