About The Artwork

Inspired by the painting of Jheronimus Bosch (The deadly sins) I made a series of the 7 individuel sins and positioned the deadly sin and its corresponding virtue in the same painting. This painting shows the sin: Luxuria (Lust) and its opposite Castitas (Chastity or Purity)). Lust is symbolized by the sex scandales of an Italian politician and the former head of the IMF. Castitas is symbolized by holy Mary holding baby Christ. The viewer of the painting has the choice on what side of the dividing line are you: just celebrating joys of human flesh or the higher virtue of respect for purity.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Since 2008, Natascha Göbel has been working on her own style as realist painter. She got inspired by the great works of Rembrandt, Vermeer and Lievens. Natascha attempts to catch life and living emotions in her paintings. Wether a portrait, a still live or a landscape, the elementary question remains: "How can I make an intimate picture that creates chemistry between viewer and painting which eventually results in the painting becoming truely alive in the eyes of the beholder."
