About The Artwork

This painting represents our social masks. Many times we cannot show our true selves to others. This can happen because the context is not favourable, because we feel insecure, because others expect certain things from us, or because we don't want to get into conflict. Many times we elegantly disguise our feelings and that's how we present ourselves, with a mask. This artwork received Diploma de Honor: 3er Puesto Categoría Acuarela, “La Quinquenal Arte 08”, Ecira Organización, Marcelo Elías curador, 18 de mayo de 2023, San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. Artwork exhibited in Exposición Homenaje a Mustafá Kemal Ataturk, Art Angels Korea, Curadora: Fatma Caliskan, Korea &Türkiye, 19 de mayo de 2023. Born 1st July 1984, City of Buenos Aires. I am a self taught artist practice art therapy as a type of healing. Honorary Doctorate 2022, The Queen Foundation for Cultures and Arts around the World, Professor Muhammad Al-Hawary director, 15th january 2023, Egypt. What I tell in my work is my experience of pain after having abandoned my previous career because of the harassment of my colleagues. That harassment was moral and sexual. That experience changed me a lot since I began to suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. I started painting on the recommendation of my therapist. My works speak of my years of suffering. They also talk about my recovery as a person and as a woman. My artworks speak about my faith, which also helped me in this process. My inspiration comes from faith, the beauty, and dignity of women, of nature, from art itself.
