Painting: Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel on Canvas.
It took me a year to paint a fleeting, ephemeral mood of spring. This is a meditation on transience, how fluidly short-lived spring is. I thought of tree branches getting alive again after a long winter, transporting sap to the buds, buds breaking, spilling perfumed scents and playful efflorescence into the air. This is my favourite time of year, the brevity of which is painfully nostalgic. I drink spring air as precious liquor, never taking for granted its magical essence.
A variety of techniques was used to create this painting. A multitude of layers both reveals and hides the splendour of colour, line and form. A beautiful quiet energy emanates from this piece. An exceptional artwork - you'll love it and the energy it emanates.
