Mahler Symphony, Limited Edition 1/10 Painting

Abstract digital painting, contemporary, expressionistic. The painting is based on a set of contrasting rhythms of color flow ranging from being static to being in unceasing motion. There are several layers of color dominated by various reds which is held in check by blue. From the lower part of the picture, new energy constantly arises, only partly balanced by a descending stream of blue. Overall, the impression of a storm is created that is fended off by powers concentrated in the left upper corner of the work. One can easily imagine the colors as identifiers of different sections of a large orchestra at a particular point in time, frozen into a snapshot. Discordant complexity is technically conveyed by merging spontaneous stylized drawing movements with intuitively engaged algorithmic processes. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.
