Art Description

Painting: Oil and gold leaf on Canvas.

Malala Yousafzai is the bravest and most compassionate person I have ever seen. She was an inspirational activist promoting education and women´s rights already at age 11-12. When she was 15 she was already so feared by the Taliban that she was shot in the head. She survived to become one of the most admired Nobel Peace Prize winners of all time. Through all of this she seems to have been able to remain a bright ordinary girl with a delightful sense of humor. I painted this "iconic" portrait in 2015, but I repainted it on top of it three times, the final time in 2017.
